Khoury’s Valentine Cakelet Decorating Kit

I am so excited to introduce my very first At- Home Cakelet Decorating Kit! It has taken months of planning & careful sourcing to offer an all-inclusive and affordable "cake-in-a-box" kit. Especially one that includes a bottle of good wine or limited edition craft beer! This Valentine's Day, I have carefully curated a kit that contains everything needed to build and decorate this adorable and seemingly detailed Tree Stump Cakelet! I assure you, no prior decorating experience is required! However, If you do have the basics down, there are also quite a few tricks to learn and some neat supplies to add to your collection! 

Here's a condensed list of the neat supplies included in each Cakelet Kit:

- 5" Chocolate Cake in baking pan

- Chocolate Buttercream

- Fantasia Fondant (Brown & Ivory)

- 4" Offset Spatula

- Plastic Bowl Scraper

- Silicone Bark Mold

- 2oz Container Cornstarch

- 2oz Container green coconut "moss"

- My signature "Toasty" food colorant

- Brown Gel Color

- Paintbrush & sponge

- 8" Cake Board

Wow! That's A LOT! Yes, and it's all yours to keep and use for decorating projects later on!

There are only a few items that you will need to provide from your home, including:

-rolling pin (any size will work!)

- scissors

-small paring knife

-paper towels

- A clean flat work surface

- Freezer or Fridge Space (to allow cake to set up before fondant application)

Now let's talk about the chocolate cake pairings which were hand selected by the amazing staff at Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits

EXITUS Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Wine Blend: This company says to hell with tradition! This statement bourbon barrel aged red wine is fermented in American stainless steel and then aged for 3 months in Kentucky bourbon barrels. This bold blend of Zinfandel, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon provide a deep ruby color with aromas of blackberry compote, leather and dusty dark chocolate. Bourbon barrel aging offers aromas of fire-toasted oak, baking spices, caramel and loose-leaf tobacco. 15.9% ABV

SURLY "Coffee Bender" Brown Ale" Refreshing like an iced coffee, aromatic like a bag of freshly roasted beans, and satisfying like your favorite beer. Roasted Guatemalan coffee is added to Surly's house oatmeal brown ale. Cold press coffee aromatics and intense coffee flavors are balanced by the oats in the malt, resulting in a cappuccino-like creaminess.

All Cakelet Kits will be available for Pick-Up on Saturday, February 13th at Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits during normal business hours.
